Snapping shots of cats, food, and new lipstick shades is fun and all, but why not get out in the world and see what else there is to aim point and shoot digital cameras at? Here are a few of the most breath taking, photogenic places in the entire world.
The Rice Terraces of Vietnam.
All across Vietnam are beautiful, tiered rice terraces. These spots are not only worth bringing point and shoot digital cameras to because of their breath taking verdant foliage or because of their visually interesting geography, but because of the sheer fact that they exist. Growing rice should be impossible in the mountains because it requires loads of water and a flat surface. Yet, the Vietnamese people have been able to do it for thousands of years because they built terraced paddy fields.
The Blue Lagoon.
Iceland is full of jaw droppingly stunning works of nature — glaciers, volcanoes, geysers, and fjords — but there’s one spot photographers everywhere bring their point and shoot digital cameras to: the Blue Lagoon. A body of geothermal seawater, the Blue Lagoon is such an interesting shade of blue that it’s hard not to be mesmerized by its beauty.
The Antelope Canyon.
Just outside of Page, Arizona is the dreamlike Antelope Canyon, one of the most beautifully bizarre and bizarrely beautiful landscapes in the United States. Over the course of hundreds of years, Antelope Creek has flowed through Antelope Canyon, carving otherworldly formations the likes of which point and shoot digital cameras absolutely need to capture. As if it needed to be anymore majestic, the desert sunlight makes the scene all the more other worldly.
Online digital camera stores have all the gear and expertise to help photographers take excellent shots, but it’s up to them to choose what to shoot. Why not aim those point and shoot digital cameras at something truly awe inspiring?
